The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation announces the implementation of a Security Fee at the International Airports in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

To ensure that all flights in and out international airports within the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan meet the ICAO security standards, the Donor Community provided assistance to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation through dedicated security service. Since the international financial support to the provision of this service will expire in 2012, and the costs will have to be paid by MoTCA, the Minister decided to include the fees for the continuation of the security service in the airfares, in accordance with ICAO standard agreements and procedures. A notice has been published in this regard. The financial statement will be posted to the MoTCA website.
