The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation clarifies civilian contractors status vis-à-vis customs and tax regulations
H.E. Minister Daoud Ali Najafi issued a Circular to all Airports in Afghanistan calling for the civilian contractors to abide by the Military Technical Agreement (MTA) signed between the Government of Afghanistan and ISAF. Only contractors effectively working in support of ISAF and using ISAF call sign are considered under the MTA, therefore exempt from taxation, registration, licensing, customs and landing fee requirements.
