Acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation
H.E. Dr. Mohammadullah Batash

The son of Al-haj Bori, he was born in 1961 in the Batash village of the Imam Sahib district in northern Kunduz province. He completed primary and secondary education in his native district in 1978. He earned Master's Degree from a university in Russia in 1985. Batash served at the Faculties of History, Journalism (where he was Dean of the Journalism Faculty in the 80s) and Social Science Institute of the Kabul University. He received a Doctorate in Social Sciences in Russia and served as advisor to the Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs from 2005 to 2008 and secretary of Junbish-i-Milli. He served the LGCG as advisor since 2008, member of the Special Advisory Board on Senior Appointments; Secretary of the Jombesh General Council from 2003-5.
