The airfield is two miles southeast of the town of Khost, nine miles north and east of the Pakistan border, 80 miles east southeast of Ghazni, and 85 miles south southeast of Kabul.
The airfield appears to be in a valley and probably has fair drainage. There is high terrain, 6000 ft above msl to the west and 4000 ft above msl to the east.
