Important information to Herat users: Herat Airport will be under Runway repair works for the next months. Start of the works will begin between July 23rd and August 3rd. During the initial phase, runway will be closed for fixed wing traffic. The duration of this initial phase will be 15 to 20 days. In the second phase, the Runway available will be 8202 x 100 feet, but there will be restrictions / limitations due to repair works in hammerheads and taxiways to the main aprons. The estimated duration for this second phase will be 45 to 50 days approximately. All these times are subject to possible delays. When final dates are established, further communications and NOTAMs will be published accordingly.
